Entry #1: Why golf could be the next thing you do.

Have you had too much free time on your hands lately? Do you feel like your life is just wasting away on a stupid phone that the average American is spending 5 hours a day on? Do you feel like you need to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather we've had in Arizona lately, but then your plan stalls out when you can't find what you should even do outside. I had the same problem about 9 months ago. I would try to take walks and other activities, but I always felt like I wanted to see and do more, then I found golf.

Today, I wanted to tell you a little about the amazing sport of golf and why you may want to give it a shot. My first reason is that every golf course is different. Every single golf course you go to will have a different game every single time. No matter how many golf courses you go to you can find another unique golf course. The sport is also super adaptive to people of all skill. In golf there is a item called a handicap which determines the advantage you get over someone based on how much you averagely score below them. This handicap allows even people with vastly different skill gaps to still be able to play each other in a competitive manner.

Next, I would like to talk about how Arizona is a really good state for golf. The weather is usually very warm in Arizona and practically no snow anywhere near Phoenix. Arizona has just north of 370 golf courses according to Cronkite News. This means that you can have a completely new course every time you play. Golf is like traveling because each course is a new scenery and experience. Traveling is great and fulfilling so why not do it at anytime for much less of a price than a typical vacation.

From a different experience every single time you play to the benefit of being able to compete with people who have much more skill than you, what is there not to like about golf? With these reasons it's not a shock to anyone why golf has risen 16% in popularity over the past 5 years (according to NGF). Every single time I want to get off my screen I play golf and I hope to share this beautiful sport with many people and generations to come.
