Entry #3: Mint
I decided to get out of my bed today and headed over to my pantry. As I stepped off my bed I heard the creak of it. My dog heard it too and jumped off the bed. My dog follows me into the pantry. I slide open the two big wooden doors. I scrummage through where we keep our sweets. I find what I'm looking for.
A little white ring with letters protruding off of it. I pinch my fingers together on thee wrapper. I hear the loud crinkle of it as I struggle to get the slick plastic open. I finally get it open and grab the hard brittle white ring. I head back to my room to write about my experience as I pop it into my mouth. As soon as it hits my tongue I feel the cool and calm flavor come over me. It feels like I have my head out the window on a speedy drive through a snow storm. Quickly my mouth starts to water. My body is trying to dissolve it.
I write down what i'm experiencing on computer. As i'm writing the ring slowly loses it coolness like the sun coming up after a cold night. As the ring starts to slowly dissolve in my mouth I bite down on it. My bite sends it shattering into fragments in my mouth. The little shards are pokey on my soft cheek. When the ring is fully dissolved and gone my mouth feels fresh like winter turning into spring. I go back to my kitchen to grab another.
Good start with your sensory details here.
